AUSTRALIA. The third Australian Airports Association (AAA) Retail & Commercial Forum began in Melbourne’s Pullman on the Park Hotel last night with a wonderful welcome reception in association with CAVU.
Organised by a partnership between the AAA, The Mercurius Group and The Moodie Davitt Report, the Forum on 22-24 July brings together all the key players in the non-aeronautical industry, including airports from Australia and New Zealand, duty-free operators, speciality retail operators, food & beverage (F&B) operators, foreign-exchange operators, advertising concessionaires, ground-transport providers and various advisers and suppliers.

Around 320 guests are registered with a record 30-plus exhibitors taking space at the event to promote their services. Among the highlights is a special beauty zone where Goldfield & Banks, domestic market retailer Mecca and Coty are being showcased.

The event kicked off with a half-day Ground Transport Forum before the main plenary sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday. These include bespoke studies for the event on consumer attitudes, retailer sentiment, the tax-free system, the beauty category, airport advertising, design and the commercial experience, technology, food & beverage and much more.
We will bring you more coverage from the event in coming days. ✈
