Prosegur Change launches Brisbane Airport foreign exchange concession

AUSTRALIA. Brisbane Airport today unveiled Prosegur Change as its new foreign exchange partner. The company’s trademark yellow and black branding will be gradually introduced to the terminals from today.

Prosegur Change will provide an array of premium, market-leading services featuring the latest in smart digitalisation, Brisbane Airport said. Travelex was the former operator.

Services include state-of-the-art ATMs dispensing up to ten major currencies, transaction tablets, an online ecommerce platform, prepaid Travel Money Cards, LED displays, cash-to-cash machines and cash today machines.

Brisbane Airport Executive General Manager Commercial Martin Ryan welcomed Prosegur Change to the Brisbane Airport community at what he called “an incredibly exciting time”.

Ryan commented: “This new partnership signifies the first chapter in the International Terminal’s one-of-a-kind retail evolution.

“We’re delighted to partner with a global brand that’s leading the way in innovation and aligns with our vision of providing exceptional customer service and an enhanced passenger journey.”

Prosegur Change CEO Sacha Zackariya said: “We are thrilled to be bringing our brand to Brisbane Airport at such an exciting time.

“As the airport evolves to meet the demands of the future, we look forward to becoming a part of this vibrant journey and delivering a unique experience to travellers from around the world.”

Prosegur Change’s arrival will be complemented by the introduction of an array of new Travel Essentials, food & beverage and specialty concessions following a Request for Proposal, which invited top-tier operators to bid for over 32 premier opportunities within the International Terminal.

Announcements relating to the remaining successful new partners are set to be made in the coming weeks.

The retail refresh and expansion comes as Brisbane Airport embarks on the A$5 billion (US$3.3 billion) Future BNE transformation of the airport (see panel below). This includes upgrades to both terminals, planning for Terminal 3, as well as landmark industrial and commercial developments. ✈
