UAE. Our latest image selection comes courtesy of Dubai Duty Free, which celebrated the start of the Chinese Year of the Wood Snake with a colourful, themed occasion in Dubai International Airport Terminal 3, Concourse B.
The event was attended by Dubai Duty Free management and staff headed by Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi along with guests from the Chinese Consulate in Dubai, led by Chinese Consul General Her Excellency Ou Boqian, plus Chinese media.
To commence the celebration, a traditional Seal Ceremony took place followed by a ribbon and cake cutting.
Following speeches by Cidambi and Her Excellency Ou Boqian, Chinese Consulate officials – including Deputy Consul Generals Wang Yi and Xian Yi and Director of Consular Section He Chao – helped make the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draws.
They were joined by Dubai Duty Free senior management including Deputy Managing Director Salah Tahlak, SVP – Marketing Sinead El Sibai, SVP – HR Mona Al Ali, SVP – Retail Michael Schmidt and SVP – Loss Prevention & Corporate Security Zayed Al Shebli.
Millennium Millionaire winners included Indian national Zaheersultha Asafali and Nicholas Bauersfeld from Germany. Finest Surprise luxury vehicle winners included Emirati Ahmed Al Blooshi, British national Robert Moloney and Sujith Panakkal from India.
After the draw, the Dubai Duty Free group and Chinese officials were treated to a traditional Chinese dance performance. ✈
