Spirits industry veteran Maurice Doyle is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer at London-based blended Scotch whisky maker Compass Box at the end of February. He spent three years in the role.
Doyle’s previous experience in marketing and commercial leadership included key executive positions with Bacardi Global Travel Retail, William Grant & Sons, Suntory and the Bacardi brand.
Since its founding in 2000, London-based blended Scotch whisky maker Compass Box has become known for its creative approach to liquid, its artful design and the collectability of many of its expressions.
In a LinkedIn post, Doyle said: “I am grateful for the opportunity to work on a brand that I have admired for over two decades. But I feel especially grateful for the people I have worked with on Compass Box.
“There is no more committed team in the spirits industry than Team Compass Box. It has been a wonderful experience to work alongside this awesome and super-talented group of people.
“Recent years have been very challenging for the spirits industry. However whilst there is always more to deliver, I am beyond proud of what we have achieved together on Compass Box. Thanks also to Compass Box’s incredible partners, be they distributors, bar-owners/bartenders, retailers, suppliers or fellow whisky fans. I will remain a fan of the brand going forward.”
