USA. HMSHost has brought local flavour to Charlotte Douglas International Airport Concourse C with the opening of downtown concept Waterman Fish Bar.
Waterman Fish Bar, making its airport debut, currently operates two restaurants in Charlotte, the most populous city in North Carolina.

The new 218sq m, 104-seat airside venue offers a seafood menu featuring lobster rolls and shrimp tacos. Also available are fish appetisers and other handheld sandwiches; plates and platters; soups and salads; all-day brunch; and beer and cocktails.
HMSHost told The Moodie Davitt Report that the eatery’s design “brings the streetside restaurant to life in the CLT airport”. It noted Waterman prides itself on serving domestic products that are responsibly sourced, focusing on the Carolinas.

Among the design highlights is a bar with seats overlooking an oyster-shucking station.
HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Stephen Douglas told us: “We are proud to collaborate with Charlotte Douglas International Airport and The Waterman Fish Bar to bring travellers so many fresh seafood options.
“The Waterman is a hometown favourite that will provide a sense of place for travellers who want to experience local flavours that are responsibly sourced.
“With the addition of The Waterman, HMSHost continues its commitment to provide dining options that make the journey as exciting as the destination.”
