UK. The latest phase in a revamp for the food & beverage offer in Edinburgh Airport’s departure lounge has been completed. Seoul Bird has opened its first airport franchise and a revamped beer garden area for the Wetherspoon Restaurant & Bar has been unveiled.
Seoul Bird, the restaurant chain’s first venue in Scotland, is operated by Airport Retail Enterprises. Set in 137sq m, it offers 28 seats and has a striking unit front.

Inspired by the “melting pot of cultures in Korean cuisine”, Seoul Bird combines Korean classics with modern flavours from Seoul’s vibrant street food scene.
The menu offers breakfast favourites with a Korean twist and other meal options such as gourmet burgers, rice bowls and crunchy fried chicken with spicy gochujang sauce.

The concession features digital order points and screens showing wait times for food.
There is a mix of seating with high tables looking out into the departures lounge, comfortable booths and various table sizes for groups.

Wetherspoon Restaurant & Bar’s redesigned beer garden area, which features 118 seats, brings a focal point to the centre of the airport departure lounge. Edinburgh Airport noted it provides “a great people-watching spot” and panoramic airfield views.
The 118-seat venue’s menu includes JD Wetherspoon pub classics and a children’s offering that comes complete with an activity pack and free fruit bag.

Edinburgh Airport Chief Commercial Officer (XAero) Gail Taylor told The Moodie Davitt Report: “The new Seoul Bird and the revamped JD Wetherspoon are part of a refresh of our whole food & beverage offering, and the feedback so far has been really positive.
“The new outlets offer our passengers choice to enjoy food and refreshments in dedicated and modern settings and bring new and exciting names to Edinburgh Airport and Scotland.
“It’s an exciting time at Scotland’s busiest airport and we hope to continue our track record of delivering choice for our diverse mix of passengers.”
