GERMANY. Berlin-based souvenir specialist Muddastadt has enhanced its presence at Hamburg Airport with the opening of a second store.
Named I Love Hamburg, the concept complements the Best of Hamburg store launched in June, showcasing a wide array of maritime keepsakes, modern design items and exclusive gift ideas.
Located at Gate C08, the store also offers snacks and beverages, and is open daily from 6am to 7pm.
Hamburg Airport Head of Center Management Lutz Deubel said: “With the new I Love Hamburg shop, we’re offering our passengers another piece of Hamburg’s charm right at the airport. Our collaboration with Muddastadt Berlin enhances our retail offering and allows travellers to take a unique memory of Hamburg with them.”
Muddastadt Managing Director Maximilian Forst added: “Our souvenirs preserve memories, stir emotions, and bring back the feeling of holidays and special moments anytime.”
Muddastadt made its Hamburg Airport debut with the Best of Hamburg store at Pier South near Gate A20, offering a diverse range of city-themed merchandise.
The souvenir maker has been one of Germany’s leading providers for over 60 years, with a presence in Berlin, Dresden, Sylt and Hamburg. Its portfolio includes more than 6,000 items, featuring popular brands such as I Love Berlin.
In other news, Hamburg Airport is tapping into the peak summer travel season with its Shop and Win promotion, featuring a chance to win a €250 (US$286) airport shopping voucher in weekly prize draws.
Running until 3 September, the promotion invites participants to upload their receipts via this website to enter.
A minimum spend of €25 (US$28.60) gives shoppers twice the chance to win. ✈
