UKRAINE. Nemiroff Company has launched a new white premium “eco-vodka” called Nemiroff Distinct.
Described by the Kyiv-based producer as the first premium vodka manufactured in the Ukraine labelled as eco-friendly, Nemiroff Distinct was certified according to the international standard scheme ISO 14024:1999 (DSTU ISO 14024:2002), which confirms the quality, safety and ecological compatibility of the product.
In addition, Distinct features the “Eco-friendly and safe” green crane marking on its label. Since October 2004, this marking has been recognised in 35 countries, including all European Community countries.
All ingredients used during the manufacture of Nemiroff Distinct are natural. The base is composed of luxury spirit and artesian water, which has been filtered through minerals of pre-Cambrian age. The water is drawn from deep sources protected from any outer impact with a granite slab.
The technology for manufacture stipulates 10 degrees of filtration and double blending. Prepared in advance water and a spirits base are later blended with the natural extract of Aloes arborescens (aloe).
Nemiroff Distinct is the first Ukrainian vodka with aloe in its composition, according to the firm. Aloe adds elegance to the taste, it noted.
While tasting white Nemiroff Distinct, vodka experts are said to have distinguished the clarity of the beverage, and its light and subtle aroma, as well as the mild taste.
The exclusively developed bottle has an innovative cork that, due to the cap’s tightness, preserves the ecological compatibility of Distinct even after the bottle is opened.
The transparent bottle was developed by English design agency Claessens International by special order and is manufactured at the Saver Glass factory in France. The thick glass bottom and label are decorated with gold, designed to accentuate the premium nature of the product. The transparency aims to underscore the clarity of the beverage.
Nemiroff Distinct appeared in 0.7 litre bottles on Ukrainian store shelves in May 2011. This autumn, the beverage will be presented in 0.5 litre bottles. The retail price for the vodka is UAH95 for 0.7l. Also, Nemiroff Distinct will be released in a souvenir packaging which will go on sale this autumn.
Said Nemiroff Company Chairman of the Supervisory Council Alexander Glus: “By the mid of 2012, thanks to Nemiroff Distinct, we are planning to consolidate our leadership positions and increase our company’s share in the premium segment from 45% to 58%. We also set a goal of supporting the development of eco-products, a trend that’s currently so important.”
