AUSTRALIA. DFS Group has unveiled its newly renovated T Galleria by DFS Sydney store.
It showcases a range of products in 70,000sq ft of space, including exclusive items such as the Michael Kors x DFS collection and Tiffany & Co.’s Keys jewellery.

The store’s interior has been modernised to feature a “fresh, clean look” which DFS said complemented its red-brick façade. T Galleria by DFS Sydney has occupied its historic George Street location for 29 years and is situated close to The Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
More than 150 brands are showcased at the store across all duty free and travel retail categories.

“The renovated T Galleria by DFS Sydney brings a whole new experience to visitors from all around the world, offering them a fresh, one-of-a kind duty free retail space in one of Sydney’s most vibrant and prestigious areas,” said DFS Group President, Merchandising and Consumer Marketing Sibylle Scherer.
“With such a wide assortment of brands and products to choose from, we anticipate that many new customers will be eager to explore this beautiful city’s latest destination for luxurious shopping.”

T Galleria by DFS Sydney’s ground floor is devoted to 11 designer fashion brands. Each has its own space that is intended to capture the essence of their respective flagship stores, DFS said.
The second floor features an array of fashion and accessory labels, with contemporary fashion brands targeted at younger shoppers. The floor also has a collection of totes, travel essentials and suitcases.

On the third floor, Watch World showcases 57 luxury watch brands in a space featuring a double-height ceiling and black-and-white checkered flooring. The displays are accentuated by bespoke joinery and special lighting.
A sunglasses area also features on the third floor with 24 brands displayed on floating shelves.
The fourth floor highlights both global and niche beauty and fragrance labels. It also features an assortment of international and local food products, wine, spirits and gifts from over 50 brands. These include Ovvio organic certified teas, Yalumba wine, Steens manuka honey and Tim Tam bites (Australian cookies encased in Belgian chocolate).

The refurbishment of T Galleria by DFS Sydney began in August 2016 under the direction of design company PMDL. The Australian firm was also responsible for the design of T Galleria Beauty by DFS, Studio City, Macau; and T Galleria Angkor by DFS in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
