UAE. Emirati fragrance house Ajmal Perfumes has partnered with Dubai Duty Free to open a counter at Dubai International Airport (DXB) Concourse B, Terminal 3.
With roots in India and headquartered in the UAE, Ajmal Perfumes brings more than 70 years of perfumery heritage to travellers at DXB.
The counter is designed to engage travellers with a multi-sensory retail experience, positioning each Ajmal fragrance as “a passport to a richer olfactory experience,” the brand said.
Ajmal’s Dubai Duty Free opening aligns with a wider expansion strategy in the channel. The brand is now listed in 86 duty-free stores across 60 countries, in addition to listings onboard 16 international airlines.
It highlights two of the brand’s hero collections: The Signature Series from the Prive Collection and The Untold Stories.
The Signature Series celebrates Ajmal’s high-quality ingredients and timeless compositions. The Untold Stories range represents a more experimental chapter for the brand and was developed in collaboration with five international perfumers. The latter is built around themes of self-expression, emotion and creative freedom.
Both The Signature Series and The Untold Stories lines are available in Ajmal stores across airports in Abu Dhabi, Cyprus and Muscat where it opened a flagship boutique with Muscat Duty Free last year.
Ajmal was founded in 1951 when the late Haji Ajmal Ali first harvested oud oil from agarwood trees in Assam, Northern India. The brand adopts a farm-to-fragrance ethos and is grower, manufacturer and retailer of its collections. ✈
