Top hats and tails: the classy Goring Hotel |
Upon arrival at The Goring, guests were whisked upstairs by a footman and led to The Royal Suite, where, rumour has it, Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge stayed on the eve of the royal wedding. Adorned in pale green colours, similar to those that feature in the new range, The Royal Suite made the perfect setting to showcase it.

One of the many campaign visuals which were shot on a (rare) sunny day in Tintagel, Cornwall |
The story behind Dewy Lily of the Valley & Star Anise celebrates leading note lily of the valley as the famous symbolic flower of the Flora Day festival in Helston, Cornwall. To mark the arrival of spring, residents dress in white embellished with a fresh sprig of lily of the valley while dancing through the streets.
Described as a “modern interpretation of a classic scent inspired by the purity of a luxurious bridal bouquet”, Lily of the Valley & Star Anise features star anise as a top note, building to a floral heart of lily of the valley and magnolia. The base is rounded out with ylang-ylang.

For the collection’s packaging, Molton Brown joined forces with London-based florists The Flower Appreciation Society (www.theflowerappreciationsociety.co.uk) to create a bespoke hand-drawn illustration of lily of the valley bells, which features on the bathing collection bottles.
Founded by friends Anna and Ellie, The Flower Appreciation Society was born from what started as two barmaids making weekly flower arrangements for the pub they worked in. Five years on and the pair now work from their studio in Hackney and business is booming. Anna and Ellie were on hand at The Goring yesterday to work their floral magic and to show guests how to make their very own corsage with star of Molton Brown’s new collection – lily of the valley.
