NETHERLANDS/SWEDEN. The much talked-about joint venture between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Stockholm Arlanda Airport became a reality on 2 February when a new company – called Arlanda Schiphol Development Company AB – was created.

Swedish hub airport Arlanda has a 60% share in the new joint venture with Schiphol Group holding a 40% share.

The venture will jointly manage the retail and food outlets and other traveller facilities in Arlanda’s North terminal. In addition to commercial activities, Arlanda Schiphol Development will focus on concept development, product and pricing policy and marketing and promotions. The partnership has been signed for a period of 15 years.

The Moodie Report’s Picture Gallery goes inside the terminal to take a look at the facilities.
