
INDIA. Pernod Ricard has exclusively launched Indian Single Malt whisky Longitude 77 with Delhi Duty Free at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The launch is being supported by high-visibility promotional displays.
The new expression was released in response to the increasing demand for premium Indian whisky.
Named after the meridian that traverses the heart of India, Longitude 77 is described as a symbol of the country’s rich whisky heritage, blending craftsmanship, terroir and unique ingredients.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma
Floral, fruity (berries), hints of toffee, a hint of peat smoke, caramel and traces of spice, liquorice, spicy cinnamon, aromatic, nutmeg, woody, distinctly liquorice-Bourbon notes, mellow woody, complex yet delicate aroma of vanilla sweetness in the background.
Taste
Rich, woody, velvety, soft, mellow, with balanced sweetness, full bodied and balanced with notes of fruit and hints of spice, finally layered with caramel and vanilla and a faint peat smoke.
Finish
The finish is medium with mellow woody and a hint of spices and balanced sweetness. ✈
