Abu Dhabi Airports Company engages travellers with social media drive

The new social media platforms will help ADAC engage with passengers and staff

UAE. Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) today launched its presence on LinkedIn, as well as a Twitter account for Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The airport’s Twitter account will provide readers with regular updates on new developments at the airport, the weather at the airport, details about upcoming competitions, and aid the passenger’s journey through the airport.

Abu Dhabi International’s presence on Twitter will also allow for more direct communication with journalists and bloggers from both the local community and around the world, said ADAC.

ADAC’s LinkedIn profile aims to provide the public with detailed information about the group and its subsidiaries, communicate with employees and engage in discussions about the aviation industry.

ADAC said the official launches on Twitter and LinkedIn would help “connect with and inform the general public and the company’s partners on a new level”.

ADAC Chief Operating Officer Eng. Ahmad Al Haddabi said: “Abu Dhabi International Airport’s official launch on Twitter and Abu Dhabi Airport Company’s official presence on LinkedIn signals growing dedication to maintaining open dialogue with passengers, partners and employees through the most convenient means possible.

“ADAC views Twitter and LinkedIn as important tools which can be used to best serve our passengers, whether local or from abroad, and enhance communication with our employees. ADAC looks forward to increasing its presence in cyberspace with more platforms soon and increasing dialogue with the public.”
