Accolade Wines has reported a +225% year-on-year sales uplift for both Da Luca Prosecco and the brand’s sparkling rosé following tasting activations at UK airports.
The company recently launched a sparkling rosé to further grow Da Luca and the sparkling wine category. The launch was supported by large scale sampling activations and feature walls at UK airports.
Accolade Wines Commercial Director Rupert Firbank commented: “The introduction of this new Da Luca rosé is a welcome addition to our portfolio. The original Da Luca has seen results that were far beyond our expectations, so we knew we had to expand the brand in some way. Sparkling rosé is extremely popular in the UK, but there is almost no availability in travel retail, so we saw a great opportunity in the market.
“The results we have recorded from the launch are outstanding, and we are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the Da Luca brand.”
Da Luca Prosecco, which launched in travel retail in 2015, is Accolade Wines’ top-selling wine within UK travel retail.
