AdP and Lagardère Services create Paris destination concept

FRANCE. Aéroports de Paris and Lagardère Services have created a new destination merchandise concept dedicated to souvenirs of Paris, called Air de Paris.

The first Air de Paris shop, operated by the AdP-Lagardère joint venture Relay@Paris, has opened in the South Terminal at Paris-Orly Airport. It features an Eiffel Tower on the façade with symbols of the French capital in the design.

“This new souvenir shop concept meets the expectations of passengers and enables us to reinforce the attractiveness of our commercial offer. To do so, we have put the spotlight on an asset that is our very own: Paris,” said François Rubichon, Deputy CEO at Aéroports de Paris.

According to AdP, nine out of ten tourists take at least one object from their visit to the city home with them. The shop’s range includes exclusive articles specifically developed for Air de Paris. Alongside its core range of textile products and gifts, the shop also offers a line of confectionery and a selection of books on Paris.

By 2014, eight further Air de Paris points of sale, each covering 70sq m to 180sq m, will open in the Paris airport terminals.
