FRANCE. Lagardère Travel Retail’s Aelia Duty Free and Air France-KLM’s loyalty programme Flying Blue have established a ground-breaking partnership. The programme’s 20 million+ members will gain rewards for spending in 20 Aelia Duty Free stores across ten key airports in France.
Flying Blue members can earn 3 ‘Miles’ for every Euro spent in the participating shops on all purchases, excluding tobacco.

Members can also pay in Miles in the Aelia Duty Free stores, or a combination of cash and Miles, giving them greater payment flexibility. 250 Miles are now equivalent to €1, which loyalty programme travellers can spend on transactions of between 3,000 Miles (€12) and 50,000 Miles (€200).
At the checkout, the shopper scans the QR code on their Flying Blue digital membership card, which can be found in the Air France or KLM application. The consumer declares the total amount to be paid in Miles and pays the remaining amount in cash.
Lagardère Travel Retail said: “This collaboration strengthens the value proposition for travellers, offering them additional benefits and an enhanced travel experience.”
The ten airports with participating Aelia Duty Free stores are Bordeaux Airport, Lille Airport, Lyon Airport, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, Marseille Provence Airport, Nantes Atlantique Airport, Paris Beauvais Airport, Strasbourg Airport, Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées Airport and Toulon Hyères Airport.
