Aer Rianta International recruits for key executives across its operations – 12/09/07

IRELAND/INTERNATIONAL. Aer Rianta International (ARI) is seeking retail managers across its international network as the ambitious travel retail arm of the Irish airports group grows its business.

As revealed earlier this week, one key post is that of General Manager Operations at Aer Rianta International-Middle East, which is to be vacated in November by Dan Cappell, who is to join Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) as General Manager Duty Free and Acting Commercial Director.

ARI-ME Managing Director John Sutcliffe is seeking a high-calibre, experienced recruit to replace Cappell. “This is a very senior executive role both within ARI and ARI-ME,” he told The Moodie Report as the news broke this week. “Ideally we would like to find someone with a purchasing background. The package is very good and it’s a very attractive position based at our headquarters in Bahrain.”

As a group, ARI is seeking to fill a number of other key Retail Manager posts.

ARI said: “At Aer Rianta International our vision is to be ‘travel retail partner of choice’. But, being respected as one of the world’s leading airport retailers is not enough – to develop our world-class capabilities even further, we need great people. Therefore, we are currently recruiting retail managers and are looking for exceptional people to be part of our International team.

“The successful candidates will lead the business to maximise sales and profitability by successfully implementing the ARI concept and commercially communicating the ARI product range. You will bring innovative ideas and deliver tangible results. You must be able to work on your own initiative and establish relationships within a multicultural environment. Flexibility is a prerequisite. You will have substantial retail management experience in a high volume, duty free or high street environment.”

If you are interested in a challenging, dynamic and innovative career in an overseas location, please send your letter of application and detailed CV, quoting ‘The Moodie Report’, to Rachel Grogan, Human Resources Officer, Aer Rianta International at rgrogan@ari.ie
