French first: The 300 sq m store is operated by Lagardère Travel Retail company Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire |
FRANCE. Aéroports de Paris has opened a 300sq m Mango store in the West terminal of Paris-Orly, in a first for a French airport. The store will display the Mango womenswear collection.
Aéroports de Paris CEO Augustin de Romanet said: “The opening of the first Mango store at Paris-Orly demonstrates Aéroports de Paris’ commitment to providing a wider range of shops in the Parisian airports. When I became Chairman and CEO of Aéroports de Paris in November 2012, I supported the idea of providing our passengers, especially Europeans, with high quality yet more accessible retail outlets. This initial development will lead to further additions.”
Mango is continuing to develop and position itself in the international travel retail market with the opening of stores at airports in London, New Delhi, Zurich, San Francisco, Beijing, Orlando, Nanchang, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Paris. The new store in Paris will be the 17th Mango airport store worldwide.
This retail outlet is operated by Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire, a joint venture between Aéroports de Paris and Lagardère Travel Retail.
Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire manages 129 shops over a total surface area of 22,300sq m across all Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly terminals.
In 2014, Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire’s turnover reached €699m, up +3.9% year-on-year.
