EUROPE. AIDA Cruises has opened a LEGO store onboard its ship, AIDAperla. It is the cruiseline’s second store collaboration with The LEGO Group after an opening on the AIDAprima vessel in September last year.

The full-store concept is set in 75sq m and offers a range including LEGO Duplo and LEGO City. The 5,000 brick LEGO Hogwarts Express product line is also available.
The official LEGO mascot, a two-metre tall sailor, can also be found inside the new store.
AIDA Cruises said guests can look forward to “exciting activities and events, where they can discover their creative side and let their imagination run wild”.
AIDA Cruises Director, Onboard Revenue, Casper Kochs said: “We are very excited to further expand our LEGO experience. The positive feedback from our guests on the first LEGO Store aboard AIDAprima has encouraged us to develop this concept further.”

He added: “The new store on AIDAperla is a real highlight for grown-ups and children alike and serves as the perfect addition to our extensive family offering.”
The LEGO Group, Head of Travel Retail Development, Annette Rosendahl said: “We are very pleased to extend our cooperation with AIDA Cruises with our second LEGO cruise shop onboard AIDAperla.
“This store will differentiate from the first store onboard AIDAprima, with our new retail design offering several fun, playful and engaging touchpoints for the whole family. We really look forward to thrilling AIDA guests of all ages with this new experience.”
