GERMANY. Aigner has chosen Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to open the first duty free location showcasing the German luxury brand’s new shop concept.

The shop, located inside KLIA’s Satellite Building, offers leathergoods, fashion and accessories, including watches, jewellery and cosmetics.

“This is the first duty free location with the new shop concept worldwide,” enthused a company spokeswoman.

“We’ve also just opened a duty free corner in Walkerhill, Seoul, South Korea. You can find leather, fashion and fashion accessories. It is our first duty free location with the new Aigner store concept in this country,” she added.

Boosting travel retail market share in Asia

Commenting on the new boutique openings, Head of International Sales Markus Schultze said: “Our aim is to increase our already remarkable market share in travel retail in Asia.

“Both shops in the new Aigner shop concept contribute to – and further underline – our claims to be perceived in Asia as a premium leather accessories brand in travel retail.”
