The Leather Collection Autumn/Winter 2014-15 reflects nearly 50 years of fine leather craftsmanship at the Aigner Modelleria in Munich combined with modern twists |
Luxury lifestyle brand Aigner has launched The Leather Collection Autumn/Winter 2014-15, combining handmade craftsmanship with attention to detail and modern, sophisticated design. The collection, called Studio Artigiano, is said to marry modern technology and styles with tried and tested expertise.
The A/W 2014-15 line was created by Aigner Senior Designer Christian Beck, who took inspiration from the brand’s heritage and gave signature, classic pieces from the Aigner archives a new twist. The result is a series of luxury bags that feature craftsmanship, leather and vintage looks with modern materials, XL zippers and graphic embossed effects.

The collection features a juxtaposed colour palette such as onyx black, marble white, dark magenta, earthy vacchetta, cuoio and clay brown offset with strong hues including ruby red, indigo blue and emerald green.
Included in the collection are:
Collezione Artigiana – a vintage look that dates back to the 1970s, featuring dyed edges, braiding and seam details. This bag is available in three classic colours including Black, Cognac and Antiqued Red. Collezione Artigiana is also available in a traditional frame “˜doctor’s bag’ design.
Carlotta – Form meets creative details with the embossed braid on the leather and the metal twist closure to complete the look of this city bag. The model is made from premium calfskin that is treated with a rubber finish on the exterior with the interior featuring a velour lining.
In other news, Aigner has announced a new fur cooperation with Friendly Fur for the fur creations of its upcoming Collection Autumn/Winter 2014-15, Studio Artigiano.
The company’s headquarters in Munich selected Berlin label and supplier of red fox furs, Friendly Fur, for the collection. Red foxes are culled in an ecologically friendly manner in Germany due to their overpopulation in the country. The “˜friendly’ furs will be used to make shawls and wraps for the Studio Artigiano Collection.
