INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Report is delighted to announce that Airports of Thailand (AoT) has been named as co-host of The Trinity Forum in Bangkok, alongside the King Power International Group of Companies. AoT is the national airports company of Thailand, and operates Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports in Bangkok, as well as Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Phuket and Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai airports.
The Trinity Forum, the world’s most influential airport commercial revenues conference, takes place on 26-28 February. The event is organised by The Moodie Report in partnership with Airports Council International (ACI) and (for the first time) ACI Asia-Pacific.
In related news, Dubai Duty Free has added its support as a Silver Sponsor of Trinity 2014. The world’s leading travel retailer at a single airport will generously host a number of prize draws during the conference.
Delegates will have the chance to win Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise luxury car draw tickets, which will be drawn over the course of the two days.
The support from AoT and Dubai Duty Free bolsters an already strong line-up of Trinity sponsors. Platinum sponsors are L’Oréal Group Travel Retail, Mondelez World Travel Retail (WTR) and Pernod Ricard Asia Travel Retail.
Pernod Ricard will also be the exclusive Liquor Partner for the Gala Dinner on the evening of 27 February. Swarovski is a Gold Partner, while further support comes from Mars International Travel Retail and Devanlay (Lacoste), which are Silver Partners, as well as Flemingo International as Connectivity Partner and Qatar Duty Free as Delegate Lanyards Partner. Furla is providing the day one lunch with further support from Ferrero for afternoon coffee.
Trinity Prize deadline nears
In addition, the deadline to submit nominations for the inaugural Trinity Prize, announced last year, is looming, with a deadline of 15 January.
The Trinity Prize is designed to reward the best example of genuine tri-partite collaboration between the industry “˜Trinity’ – airports, operators and brands. If no submission is deemed of sufficient merit in any year, no prize will be awarded.
The Trinity Prize: Designed to reward tri-partite collaboration between the industry “˜Trinity’ |
Any member of any Trinity stakeholder organisation can enter a submission for The 2014 Trinity Prize by providing a summary of the initiative for evaluation by the Trinity judges via Martin@TheMoodieReport.com by 15 January.
There is no limit on the size or format of submissions, which can include video, photography, testimonials, consumer reaction and other material. The judges will be looking for clear evidence of each party’s contribution, financial or otherwise; level of consumer engagement and evaluation of financial and other success.
All submissions will remain 100% confidential.
The Trinity Prize will be strictly non-commercial – no sponsorship or advertising in any form will be accepted.
It will be judged by an impartial panel of respected industry and ex-industry figures (Brian Collie, formerly of BAA; Mark Riches, ex-World Duty Free Group CEO, and former Diageo senior executive Vince Horne), each representing one of the travel retail Trinity stakeholders.
The Moodie Report Chairman Martin Moodie said: “We believe that the establishment of The Trinity Prize will bring a greater focus on and appropriate recognition for truly collaborative partnership. But the criteria will be demanding – for any partnership initiative to be deemed worthy of the Trinity prize, it must reflect actual and not token contribution from all three parties. It must have engaged and excited the travelling consumer; and, critically, it must demonstrate a proven case that it has grown incremental returns for all Trinity stakeholders.”
As reported, Trinity 2014 boasts a powerful speaker line-up, boosted in recent days with some high-profile additions (see below for the latest programme). An amazing social programme is also promised for Friday afternoon with optional activities the next day.
