Alan Sullivan steps up to take Co-Chief Executive role for JCDecaux North America

USA. Outdoor advertising market world leader JCDecaux has appointed Alan Sullivan as Co-Chief Executive of JCDecaux North America.

The highly regarded Sullivan has been the Managing Director of JCDecaux Airport UK for the last five years and was previously the Sales Director, both London-based roles. Responsible for London Heathrow Airport and Edinburgh Airport, he oversaw revenue growth and the digitisation of the airport offer with the opening of London Heathrow Terminal 5 and the revamped Terminal 2.

Alan Sullivan says the US role was an opportunity he “could not turn down”.

Sullivan, who takes up his position on 1 September, will work alongside JCDecaux North America Co-Chief Executive Jean-Luc Decaux. The appointment has been announced ahead of the retirement at the end of the year of Bernard Parisot, President and Co-Chief Executive of JCDecaux North America.

Sullivan said: “I am looking forward to working with Jean-Luc Decaux in one of the most vibrant and exciting markets in the world. The growth potential of out-of-home in the United States is strong and JCDecaux is leading the new future for OOH through investment in the best products, technology and people. This is an opportunity I could not turn down.”

JCDecaux Co-Chief Executive Officer Jean-François Decaux said that Sullivan’s step up continues his company’s philosophy of promoting talent from within the business. He added: “Alan brings expertise of running a major international airport advertising concession that has invested in new digital products, brand experiences and technology to deliver market-beating results.

“The combination of Alan Sullivan’s and Jean-Luc Decaux’s experience will provide a fantastic team for JCDecaux to drive the business in the largest advertising market in the world.

“I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Bernard Parisot on his 25 years of service at JCDecaux, developing a strong organisation and making our company the global leader in airport and street furniture advertising in the United States.”
