Alpha LSG makes five-year commitment to Thomas Cook Airlines cabin crew

Recognising achievement: Thomas Cook Airlines’ OMG! Award winners 2016

UK. Alpha LSG says it will make further investment in Thomas Cook Airlines’ cabin crew over the next five years.

The additional investment will reinforce support “to deliver the best possible results” from inflight retail sales, the Alpha Flight Group and LSG Sky Chefs joint venture said.

The news was announced at the end of the two-day OMG! Conference, Training and Awards event for the airline’s cabin crew, held in London last week (13-14 April).

Alpha LSG In-Flight Retail & Managed Services Director Alan Hayes said: “Alpha LSG will invest even further over the next five years to give cabin crews the tools they need to maintain and build on the phenomenal service provided onboard, day-in day-out, to customers and reach new levels in terms of sales. And that investment – driving recognition for a job well-done is what OMG! is all about.”

The OMG! event featured a series of workshops and seminars aimed at helping the airlines attain even better commercial results and to improve customer service, and culminated in an awards dinner to recognise the achievements of the best performing cabin crew.

Thomas Cook Airlines Head of Cabin Crew UK and Group Head of Service and Sales Training Maggie Kennedy said of the event: “I have been totally blown away by the teamwork and enthusiasm from all of the guys here from all four of our airlines. This is such a great training event. It’s all about the way we sell and how we sell to provide the fantastic service that Thomas Cook Airlines passengers expect.”
