With its refined character, the wine embodies “the Venetian attitude”, showcasing packaging and label designs that capture the essence of both the natural landscapes and the distinct aesthetics of Venice.

The Prosecco Superiore is the only limited-edition and travel retail-exclusive expression in the wine producer’s portfolio, reinforcing its position as a category leader and its innovative approach.

Herita Marzotto Wine Estates Export Director Giacomo Marzotto said, “Santa Margherita is the beating heart of our wine group and it is fitting that we are launching a magnificent new Prosecco Superiore, which is both a limited-edition and exclusive to travel retail, at the Singapore event – a clear indication of our belief in the strength of the wine category in travel retail.”

Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG features a refined perlage with crisp fruit and floral notes. Its light, refreshing profile offers versatile food pairing options, made for travellers seeking distinctive Italian sparkling wines.

The Prosecco’s essence is deeply rooted in nature, with water symbolising its purity and freshness, enhancing the wine’s vibrant, mineral notes. Embodying freedom and travel, the sea reflects the wine’s international character and Santa Margherita’s values.

Venetian architecture, mirrored on the water, echoes the prestige, history and timeless beauty of La Serenissima – values present in every Santa Margherita wine.

As reported, the Italian family-owned wine producer rebranded to Herita Marzotto Wine Estates from Santa Margherita Wine Group earlier this year to commemorate its 90th anniversary.

Marzotto added, “Our new corporate name underlines not just our heritage and our exceptional wine estates, but also our strong family ties. Herita contains a piece of Santa Margherita, therefore a piece of history. At the same time, it recalls the English word ‘heritage’, particularly appropriate for a group that is now operating on an international level and in which the fourth generation of the family is emerging.”

The company, whose origins date back to 1935 under its Founder Count Gaetano Marzotto, remains firmly under the control of the family’s third generation.

Today, the group has reinforced its position as one of the leading players in the global wine industry, achieving a turnover of more than €248 million in 2023, with over 25 million bottles sold in 90+ countries.

The name ‘Herita’ reflects the legacy built by the company under its previous identity, Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo.

This heritage is based on the company’s wine regions, their traditions and the terroirs selected for the vineyards, and includes the protection of these areas, the environment and local communities.

This legacy also reflects the company’s continuous research, investments and innovations, along with its deep winemaking expertise.

Marzotto said, “To celebrate this 90-year milestone, and our position as one of the leading players in the world wine scene, we are launching this magnificent Prosecco Superiore from our key Santa Margherita brand.

“When we started producing Prosecco Superiore just over 70 years ago, Santa Margherita was part of a small group of wineries – pioneers for sure – which succeeded in transforming Prosecco into an ambassador for the Italian way of life.

“The Santa Margherita brand is nowadays known for its top-quality production and has taken this local ‘bubbly’ to the pinnacle of the world’s most popular and sought-after sparkling wines.

“We are very proud of our latest effort. The Santa Margherita Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG is nothing less than an ode to Venice and the Venetian attitude.”
