Angelini Beauty is presenting the latest scents from Laura Biagiotti, Gianfranco Ferré and DSquared2 at this week’s TFWA World Exhibition (Riviera Village, RD9 and RE13).
New Gianfranco Ferré L’Uomo, created by Nicolas Beaulieu, is a fresh oriental with top notes of bergamot, ginger, cardamom and black pepper. The heart is composed of violet, green apple and sage and underpinned by sandalwood, Spanish cedar, moss and vanilla.

The face of Gianfranco Ferré L’Uomo, Matthew Zorpas, is described as a ‘digital influencer’. Zorpas, a Greek Cypriot who lives in London, writes a style blog entitled ‘The Gentleman Blogger’ and was named one of five fashion icons to follow in England by GQ magazine.

Dsquared2 has added new Want Pink Ginger Eau de Parfum to its Want collection. According to the brand, the new incarnation is designed to appeal to the more vivacious side of the professional, modern woman.
The fragrance, an oriental floral, is centred around the pink ginger of Japanese cuisine and is inspired by the way a sliver of pink ginger can change each mouthful. Perfumer Aurélien Guichard created the fragrance using only comestible ingredients in the top notes: mangosteen, pink pepper, lemon and tangerine. At the heart, feminine notes of damask rose, heliotrope and neroli combine over vanilla with hints of violet and amber.


Italian designer Laura Biagiotti’s latest fragrances take inspiration from the city of Rome. A duo of new fragrances for men and women, Roma Passione and Roma Passione Uomo by Laura Biagiotti, join the existing range of Roma and Blu di Roma.

Roma Passione, co-created by Juliette Karaguenzoglu and Nicolas Beaulieu, is a fruity floral. The Eau de Toilette contains top notes of pink grapefruit, Italian tangerine and blackcurrant, complemented by a floral heart of rose, jasmine petals and white peony. Base notes of vanilla, amber, tonka bean and musk round out the fragrance.
Roma Passione Uomo Eau de Toilette by contrast is a spicy oriental, co-created by Mathilde Bijaoui and Véronique Nyberg. Top notes of cardamom and yellow tangerine are layered over coffee and cucumber, clary sage and patchouli and finished with a base of tonka bean absolute, amber wood and vanilla.
