CANADA. The World Association of Wine & Spirit Writers and Journalists has named Peller Vidal Icewine 2008 as Wine of the Year for 2010/2011.
“This is very exciting news. Congratulations to our winemakers,” said Andrew Peller Ltd International Sales Manager Louise Wilson.
The association’s international committee includes F Donalson, Net Evans, P Billeau, R Castellani and Kim She Wang.
The latest accolade adds to the Canadian icewine specialist’s recent – and growing – medal haul. At the 2011 All Canadian Wine Championships, four Gold medals and one Double Gold – Best of Category put Peller Estates wines on top among the hundreds of wines entered.
