Khalid Khinder Hashim receives his million dirham cheque for winning this month’s Abu Dhabi Duty Free Big Ticket Draw |
UAE. The winners of this month’s Abu Dhabi Duty Free Big Ticket Raffle have been announced.
Khalid Khider Hashim, of Al Ain, became an instant millionaire when his lucky ticket was drawn in this month’s Abu Dhabi Duty Free Big Ticket Raffle. His ticket was purchased at the Al Ain Airport landside shop and his winnings are said to have encouraged him to take part in upcoming competitions.
The second prize, a brand new Mercedes C200K, went to Mohamed Arshad, a sales executive from Jebel Ali. Mr Arshad, originally from Pakistan, said: “I remember deciding to buy the ticket when seeing an advert while waiting in an hotel to get a quote for my sister’s wedding. When I realised how much her big day was going to cost, I thought that the only way I was going to get enough money to pay for it was through something like this, and now I am a winner!”
Third prize, worth UAD100,000, was won by Jamal Ahmed Hassan Alfalasi, a resident of Dubai.
Abu Dhabi Duty Free Big Ticket Raffle has also awarded seven other lucky winners with smaller cash prizes.
Tickets are sold at Abu Dhabi Duty Free landside and airside shops at City Terminal, Al Ain Duty Free and Ghweifat Duty Free or online at www.addf.ae
