For its Spring-Summer 2008 collection Antica Murrina has added hypoallergenic metals to many of its pieces, relying on the finely handcrafted nature of necklaces, pendants and accessories to make each model unique.
The Candy necklace and pendants combine a “˜sugar’ effect to frost the colours in the glass, while the Dakota necklace, Indiana choker and Alabama long necklace offer a hint of ethnic style.

The Venice glass in the Kikuna, Alaska and Bridal series relies on transparency to provide an “˜icy’ look to the sophisticated crystal pieces, and the pop-inspired Manhattan line combines crystal beads with large abstract metal rings.
On board 11 airlines in the Asia Pacific region, Antica Murrina is working closely with its clients to create exclusive products.
Silvia Martinelli of Antica Murrina said that Asian customers differ from Westerners in the choice of colours and shapes, preferring lighter shades and much smaller pieces.
“But they do love hearts,” added Martinelli. At the recent TFWA Asia Pacific show the Antica Murrina stand featured a large selection of heart-shaped crystal pendants, many in pastel colours, especially pink, with gold and silver dusting, and the Candy sugar effect.
