ITALY. Areas Italy has collaborated with Italian sparkling wine producer Ferrari Trento to unveil a high-class airside food & beverage establishment at Milan Linate Airport.
Named Michelangelo Bistrò & More, the restaurant is a rebirth of the Michelangelo Bistrò, which closed at the airport during the COVID-19 crisis. It is a remodelled location replacing the Ferrari Spazio Bollicine restaurant, another Areas/ Ferrari Trento collaboration.

The 297sq m venue features a menu devised by Chef Michelangelo Citino, winner of Airport Chef of the Year at the 2019 FAB Awards.
Offering three-course meals, gourmet sandwiches and tapas, highlights of the eye-catching concession’s menu include Vitello Tonnato, Chitarrine alla Carbonara, fish Vicentina style and Pistachio Babà.

The drinks menu includes a selection of Ferrari Trento sparkling wines, with recommendations for pairing with each individual dish. An exclusive cocktail range is also available, featuring tonics from Tassoni 1793.
Areas Italy Marketing and Commercial Director Annavelia Carrara told The Moodie Davitt Report: “We are very happy to have inaugurated the new Michelangelo Bistrò & More at Milan Linate Airport.
“This is a very important opening as it confirms Areas’ desire to stand out once again as a player that aims for excellence with regards to aspects such as the offer and service within an exclusive location.
“Michelangelo Bistrò & More is not just a restaurant, but also a design space in which to spend the time before the flight in an elegant environment that does not go unnoticed and remains imprinted in the mind for long time.”
