ARI extends Canada network with opening of Edmonton Airport store

CANADA. ARI has extended its North American network with a store opening at Edmonton International Airport.

As reported, the ARI footprint at Edmonton Airport includes one 170sq m store plus a 190sq m transborder outlet under an agreement struck last year. The outlets feature the categories of liquor & tobacco, fragrances & cosmetics, confectionery, sunglasses, jewellery, handbags and souvenirs.

Edmonton Duty Free is officially opened by the ARI North America team

The travel retailer stated on LinkedIn: “We are proud to announce the opening of the newest ARI store at Edmonton International Airport. This expansion marks a significant step in our journey of bringing joy and value to travellers’ experiences in North America.

“We look forward to collaborating with our airport partners to improve store design and layout, and the product range offering to enhance the overall passenger journey over the coming months. Together, we’re primed to create memorable experiences for travellers. Thank you to every team member for their invaluable contribution in bringing this new store to life.”

The retailer is managing the business alongside WHSmith-owned Marshall Retail Group, which runs other non-duty free concessions.

ARI North America also operates airport duty free stores in Montreal, Winnipeg, Quebec and Halifax, plus a duty paid store at Vancouver Airport. ✈
