Armani Code Luna recently featured in a promotional campaign at selected European and Middle Eastern airports |
The campaign locations included Paris CDG, Beirut International, London Gatwick and Copenhagen. Its aim was to showcase the entire Giorgio Armani fragrance portfolio, and highlight the premium codes of the brand.
The Code Luna podium invited travellers to embark on an “olfactory journey” to discover the new fragrance. Purchasers were subsequently rewarded with a gwp.
As the fragrance name suggests (luna means moon in Italian), the moon is reportedly a key source of inspiration for the designer, and the muse behind this latest fragrance.
The juice, created by Dominique Ropion, is described as a vanilla edt, fresh and floral, with a mesmerising wake. It opens on top notes of bergamot, bitter orange essence and pear, building to a heart of orange blossom absolute and the signature “moonflower” (Ephiphyllum Oxypetalum). Cultivated in India, legend has it that the plant only opens and flowers during the full moon. Other ingredients include vanilla, osmanthus and Tonka bean.
The flacon is a re-worked version of the original Armani Code bottle. It is decorated with the brand’s signature floral motif, in white. The frosty base aims to evoke the freshness and mystery of the moon, according to the brand.
The ad campaign was filmed and photographed by Paolo Roversi, and features Italian actress Valeria Bilello.
