GERMANY. Cosmetics house Artdeco has created a new foot care range called Wellfeet.
The comprehensive collection covers the cleansing, peeling and care segments.
There are two cleansers: Aromatic Cleanser Concentrate and Aromatic Bubbles. The first is described as an everyday product. It features soft, exfoliating bamboo grains and is scented with lemongrass.
The second cleanser comes in the form of revitalising bath pearls, and is recommended for use at the end of the day. It too is scented with lemongrass and wild menthol, and also features tea tree oil for a deodorising effect.
The peeling products are a Feet Softener callus remover, claimed to remove even the hardest of skin, and Express Pedicure. This is described as a salt peeling treatment, enriched with oils.
Six products make up the care segment. The first is Aromatic Repair Balm, to moisturise dry feet. It contains capuacu butter and calendula oil, plus liquorice extract for added suppleness.
Also targeted at dry feet is Aromatic Foot Butter. Featuring shea butter and jojoba oil, this is said to soothe and smooth cracked, dry skin.
Wellfeet Softening Ginger Mask contains almond oil, ginger and ginseng for a long-lasting stimulating effect. It should be used in conjunction with the supplied treatment socks, for maximum benefit.
Artdeco has designed two Wellfeet products specifically with “hot days and cool nights” in mind.
As its name suggests, lemongrass Cooling Gel is said to deliver an immediate cooling effect, to stimulate tired feet and legs. The gel can be applied on top of nylon hosiery for refreshment “˜on the move’.
Sparkling Feet Powder is claimed to flatter the feet and legs with a delicate touch of silk. Micro-fine particles reflect the light, while the powder’s deodorising properties help keep feet dry and soft.
The highlight of the collection, according to Artdeco, are the Feet Therapy Treatment Socks. These are said to be combine both care and comfort, while reflex zone indicators deliver a relaxing foot massage.
The inside of the socks is coated with a special moisturiser gel, which features jojoba, avocado and olive oils, plus vitamin E.
The socks, which are suitable for hand washing, last for at least 40 treatments.
