Clarins has expanded its Precious skincare range, originally launched in global travel retail last year.
Guided by the ethos ‘As rare as you’, the Precious Skin range offers a complete anti-ageing ritual. It comprises the Precious La Lotion Anti-Ageing Treatment Essence, Precious La Crème Anti-Ageing Rich Moisturizer and Precious La Crème Yeux Anti-Ageing Eye Cream.
The L’Huile-En-Serum, a night-focused anti-ageing product, is the latest addition to the line. It enhances the skin’s nightly repair process, leveraging the ideal conditions for cellular renewal.
Using Microfluidic technology, the L’Huile-En-Serum blends oil microbeads and serum. It boasts over 7,900 microbeads suspended in each 30ml bottle.
The Precious range is made with Moonlight Flower Cryoextract, derived from a rare flower that blooms just one night a year in Central America. This extract is hand-harvested and processed under extreme cold conditions (-196°C) to preserve its active properties. Dubbed the ‘Queen of the Night’, Clarins now cultivates the Moonlight Flower in Brittany, France.
The extract activates skin-longevity proteins, delivering visible improvements in firmness and radiance within seven days.
The range is also powered by Clarins Precious Skin Age-Delaying Technology, which combines the benefits of the Moonlight Flower Cryoextract with a trio of high-tech biomimetic peptides with replenishing and restructuring properties.
The Precious skincare ritual is enhanced by techniques developed by Clarins’ facialist Marie Depoulain. Her exclusive method, inspired by the brand’s 70-year spa heritage, employs rhythmic hand movements, smoothing gestures and temperature-modulating tools to amplify the products’ efficacy.
Clinical trials have shown a +60% increase in skin nourishment, +55% plumper skin, -40% reduction in wrinkles and fine lines, and +35% improvement in skin repair within one hour.
The Precious range’s packaging features a recyclable alloy for the jars, while the outer cartons are made from cardboard sourced from sustainably managed forests.
Its formulas are made with over 90% natural-origin ingredients with the L’Huile-En-Serum composed of 96% natural ingredients.
To ensure ingredient traceability Clarins employs the T.R.U.S.T. platform, which uses blockchain technology to provide detailed transparency about the sourcing of plant-based components.
Clarins Brand General Manager Katalin Berenyi commented: “As we expand the Clarins Precious range, we are fully embracing the ‘art of listening’ to travellers. Based on studies, we see that today’s consumers are seeking luxurious products and meaningful experiences that align with their values of authenticity, sustainability and responsibility.
“Each formulation in the Precious line exemplifies our commitment to responsible sourcing while delivering exceptional results. Just as rare as the Moonlight Flower, we believe that Clarins Precious is ‘As Rare As You’, offering an exquisite experience that resonates deeply with discerning customers in global travel retail.” ✈
