TÜRKIYE. ATÜ Duty Free and luxury jewellery brand Bvlgari have opened a pop-up store in the Luxury Hill zone at Istanbul Airport. It complements the permanent Bvlgari store airside, which opened in 2019.
“We are very proud to now present the creations of our highly esteemed partner Bvlgari at Istanbul Airport in two dedicated spaces,” said ATÜ Duty Free CEO Ersan Arcan.
“Travellers can discover high jewellery and iconic pieces, luxury watches and elegant leather accessories in the Bvlgari boutique and in the new pop-up store which are both situated in the ‘Luxury Hill’ area.”
ATÜ Duty Free, the joint venture between TAV Airports, Unifree Duty Free and Gebr. Heinemann, manages both stores and more than 20 other luxury boutiques at the airport.
The partners said that with the luxury marketplace, they are addressing “the cosmopolitan audience at Istanbul Airport with passengers from, for instance, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates or Kuwait, and, above all, the global luxury travellers and millennials”.
The 90sq m pop-up in Zone 6 airside features an open, inviting layout, said ATÜ Duty Free and Gebr. Heinemann.
The design features large, individually placed letters from the brand’s Roman logo, with the lettering also woven into a striking carpet feature.
The saffron colour scheme is said to evoke the late afternoon sun in Rome – a source of inspiration for Bulgari. Displays and counters are finished in bright marble, a signature of the brand shopping experience.
Gebr. Heinemann Director Purchasing FAWJ Jan Richter said: “Together with Bvlgari, we have created an inviting, surprising brand and shopping experience at a high level. The pop-up store perfectly complements the Bvlgari boutique as well as our entire exclusive brand world here in Istanbul. Its looks and offer make for an exceptional attraction for international passengers.
“We are delighted to continue the successful strategic partnership between Bvlgari, ATÜ and Gebr. Heinemann and would like to thank all those involved for the excellent and trusting cooperation. The pop-up store is a great example of the powerful innovations it enables.”
“Having complementary shopping experiences in Istanbul airport is key for Bvlgari, allowing us to showcase our exceptional creations in the best possible environment and to warmly welcome our clients in different atmospheres. We are very proud of this contemporary pop-up, the result of our closed tri-partite collaboration and a real symbol of our strong and valuable partnership built throughout the years,” said Gabriele Arlotta, Director of Bulgari Travel Retail Europe.
The pop-up store offers a comprehensive range of fine jewellery, watches and accessories, including handbags and small leathergoods. The Serpenti collection, the Roman jeweller’s most coveted design, is among the highlights.
The partnership between Gebr. Heinemann, Unifree Duty Free and ATÜ Duty Free runs a total of 56,000sq m at Istanbul Airport and is also responsible for the centre management.
