Avinor plans major food & beverage tenders at key Norwegian airports

NORWAY. Airport company Avinor is preparing to issue tenders in September covering all food & beverage outlets at Oslo, Stavanger and Bodø airports.

The company launched an awareness campaign about the forthcoming opportunities recently in partnership with The Moodie Davitt Report.

The contracts cover around 35 units at Oslo Airport, ten at Stavanger Airport and two at Bodø Airport, with an estimated value of €450 million over the contract period.

The key Oslo tender encompasses bakeries, coffee shops, fast food, gastropubs and casual dining outlets. These are split across 16 outlets in the international terminal, 12 in the domestic terminal and eight landside units.

The food & beverage channel at Oslo’s major gateway today has an annual turnover of around €80 million from around 6.5 million customers. At Stavanger the annual value of the F&B business is around €8 million.

Avinor said it is looking to strengthen its F&B offer across categories through “a more diversified concept mix and new concept formats provided by regional, national and international partners”.

The airport company said it “welcomes interested parties to share input and learn more about the opportunities at our airports”.

Tenders will be issued in mid-September, for a mid-January submission deadline and contract awards by May 2024 and beginning of operations by January 2025. ✈
