THE NETHERLANDS. Leading global travel experience player Avolta has opened the first travel retail dining concept of Dutch snack brand FEBO at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
The 83-year-old brand has been popular in the Netherlands for its automat format, offering its signature snacks and fries through vending machines.
Located at Schiphol Plaza, the FEBO store serves its famous croquettes and burgers, which can be ordered through a traditional counter or the brand’s popular snackwall.
Avolta CEO Northern, Central and Eastern Europe Walter Seib commented: “We are proud to collaborate with FEBO, such an iconic brand in the Netherlands, to bring their much-loved snacks to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, our longstanding partner.
“Our aim at Avolta is to make travellers happier, and I have no doubt that FEBO will be enjoyed by local travellers and visitors alike.”

FEBO Director Dennis de Borst said: “We are very happy to open a new location at Schiphol. We have been in discussions for a long time and we have high expectations of this location. I think that both visitors and employees of Schiphol will find this FEBO fantastic.”
Royal Schiphol Group Head of Retail, F&B and Commercial Services Hans de Groot added: “Schiphol’s objective is to continuously upgrade our F&B offering by improving its quality, diversity and recognisability.
“The introduction of a strong, local brand like FEBO contributes to this. We are convinced both travellers and people working at Schiphol will be pleased with this addition to the F&B offering at Schiphol Plaza.”
