Avolta extends Norwegian Cruise Line partnership to new Aqua ship

INTERNATIONAL. Travel experience player Avolta has extended its presence with Norwegian Cruise Line after opening a series of stores onboard the new Norwegian Aqua vessel. The portfolio includes eight duty-free shops and spaces for sunglasses, fashion, watches and pre-loved luxury.

First-at-sea concepts for the travel retailer include stand-alone Breitling and Tag Heuer stores, a Norqain watch store and Bally and Ralph Lauren brands.

An expansive luxury offer is a feature of the onboard portfolio managed by Avolta

Avolta has introduced a selection of digital tools that include its Fragrance Finder and Whisky Finder technology to help customers discover their ideal fragrance or whisky respectively.

An exclusive, limited-edition collection of products celebrates the vibrant hull art of Norwegian Aqua, created by NCL female hull artist Allison Hueman, renowned for her street art and collaborations with global brands. Titled ‘Where the Sky Meets the Sea,’ her colourful visual blends abstract and figurative representations of the sea and sky.

Avolta Head of Cruise Division Gian Botteri said: “Avolta is committed to offering cruise customers the most exciting and innovative store concepts and product assortments, and we are now inspiring and delighting travellers with an unforgettable shopping experience on the stunning new Norwegian Aqua. We were delighted to extend our valued partnership with NCL onboard this latest addition to their fleet and thank the NCL team for their continued trust and valued support.”

Delivered in March 2025, Norwegian Aqua provides guests with itineraries to the Caribbean and Bahamas. Other onboard attractions include the Aqua Slidecoaster, the fastest and longest slides at sea, and the Glow Court, a digital sports complex that transforms into a nightclub, as well as other entertainment and spa options.
