ITALY. Avolta has opened an Eataly-branded concept inside a historic building in Dorno, along the A7 Milan Serravelle in Italy. The opening underlines Avolta’s continued investment into the Italian motorway channel through its Autogrill business.
Avolta’s partnership with Eataly will see it launch on strategic and high-traffic locations throughout the country. The latest opening follows Eataly’s earlier collaboration with the Autogrill Motorway business in Secchia Ovest in 2016.
The layout of the Eataly in Dorno was strategically designed to connect the restaurant, quick service and market in a single environment. It follows the design and functionality of Eataly’s newest store openings in North America at Sherway Gardens in Toronto and SoHo in New York City.

A perimeter glass surface provides natural light, while warm materials, natural tones and soft light create a welcoming atmosphere, said Avolta.
The 170-seat restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and offers table service. An open kitchen invites customers to watch the cooking process while they enjoy a complete menu from appetisers and pizzas to desserts.
The market area offers Italian delicacies such as pastas, sauces, rice, breadsticks, taralli, biscuits, chocolate, jams, cosmetics and small household items.

Avolta Italy Food & Beverage CEO Massimiliano Santoro commented: “The opening of the new Eataly-branded Autogrill restaurant in Dorno is in continuity with our strategy of expansion and penetration in the territory, also strengthened by our new identity, as part of Avolta.
“We are moving along the path designed by the Destination 2027 plan and Italy remains strategic, with over 800 stores. The objective is to strengthen our presence on the national territory where we plan to expand in all travel channels, including the motorway channel which remains central for us.
“Another equally important objective is the satisfaction of the end customer, which is why we will continue to innovate in the direction of new products, new brands and new concepts, internal and external.” ✈
