Award-winning Alexandra Plata makes shiny debut – 24/06/08

SPAIN. Spanish jewellery supplier Alexandra Plata exhibited its handmade sterling silver jewellery at the TFWA Asia Pacific show for the first time last month.

The Madrid-based company is headed by Alejandra Yagüe, who has won the prestigious Etoile de Mode Award for creative and original designers.

The brand’s original concept centres on shiny and hammered sterling silver, semi-precious stones, leather and linen. Sterling silver and leather pieces retail at an average price of US$45, with necklaces priced from US$35to US$45, running to US$110 for pure sterling silver bracelets.

Alexandra Plata has listings with Spanish travel retailer Aldeasa at a number of airports in Spain, and is sold onboard cruise lines Iberojet and The World of ResidenSea.

The brand has showrooms in Madrid and New York, and is sold in department stores El Corte Ingles in Spain and Galeries Lafayette in France. It is also present in shops run by luxury hotel group Paradores in Spain.
