Bacardi mixes it up for Heathrow travellers with Bombay Sapphire

Bacardi Global Travel Retail and World Duty Free Group (WDFG) have teamed up to give consumers what they are calling the “˜Ultimate Gin & Tonic Experience’ at World Duty Free stores in Heathrow Terminals 3 and 5.

Travellers are invited to visit the Bombay Sapphire Tasting Bar inside the World Duty Free stores where they can make their own gin and tonic drinks with bartenders on hand to offer tips and advice.

The balloon-shaped glass is said to give the consumer the full flavour experience

Bacardi Global Travel Retail Regional Director for Europe Aude Rocourt said: “The ultimate gin and tonic is just one example of how we are continuing to premiumise the gin category, adding value for our customers and creating genuinely imaginative propositions for our consumers.”

The pop-up bars will also display the new global advertising campaign for Bombay Sapphire, “˜Imagine Distilled’, which will feature at World Duty Free stores.

In addition to learning about ginn & tonic-making, travellers who purchase two bottles of Bombay Sapphire will receive a bar spoon.

Bacardi had previously partnered with WDFG for a summer cocktail activation, which also featured Bombay Sapphire.
