Back in business: China Duty Free Group reopens in Haitang Bay

CHINA. Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay, including the China Duty Free Group-run CDF Mall, reopened today at 14.00 following a nine-day closure due to a limited COVID-19 outbreak in Sanya City.

As reported, Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex, including CDF Mall, closed temporarily from 1pm on 2 April in line with epidemic prevention and control work.

Both phases of the vast shopping to leisure complex in Haitang Bay, Sanya are now open.

CDFG said in a notice to customers today on WeChat: “To provide a safer shopping environment to our customers, we are rigorously implementing the government’s epidemic prevention measures by regularly carrying out comprehensive disinfection of our shopping malls and providing no-rinse hand sanitisers to customers.

“In the meantime, please remember to wear your mask, present your QR health code and have your temperature checked when visiting our store.”

The reopening will be met with great relief by China Duty Free Group and its brand partners. CDF Mall has been the busiest travel retail location in the world through the pandemic.
