Ballantine’s blends whisky with the world of art in new gift packs

Scotch whisky brand Ballantine’s has partnered with renowned music video director and photographer Dave Ma to launch three Artist Series limited-edition gift packs into global travel retail (click here to view some of Ma’s stunning previous work).

Pernod Ricard Travel Retail EMEA is marking the launch with promotions in Paris Orly and Rome Fiumicino airports in November and December. The activations include tastings of Ballantine’s Finest and Ballantine’s 12yo plus visual displays highlighting images featured in the Artist Series.

Ballantine’s Artist Series was developed to promote individuals who are committed to expressing their creativity in ‘unique’ ways. It debuted last year with Australian graphic designer and art director Leif Podhajsky’s sleeve design inspired by fire and water, and a tin featuring an abstract interpretation of the Scottish Highlands.

The latest gift packs showcase Ma’s perspective of Scotland through a series of aerial photographs. Ma has worked with renowned music artists including A$AP Rocky, Nick Cave, Diplo, Skrillex, Bastille and Rudimental.

The Ballantine’s Finest limited-edition sleeve and tin feature Ma’s images of the Scottish Highlands, in red and blue colours, said to reflect the blend’s energy.

The blue Ballantine’s 12yo tin design highlights the spirit’s complexity of flavours, the company stated.
