Barbara Lavernos, the new Managing Director of L’Oréal Luxe – Travel Retail Worldwide |
Barbara Lavernos has replaced Eric Tarral as Managing Director of L’Oréal Luxe – Travel Retail Worldwide, effective immediately. After four years in the role, Tarral has been appointed to a new position within L’Oréal, which will be announced in due course.
“Tarral successfully led Travel Retail with great energy and vision throughout four incredibly intense years,” noted the company in a statement. “He is leaving behind him a modern, dynamic organisation which has strengthened its historical leadership in a circuit that is highly strategic for our luxury brands.”
Lavernos joined L’Oréal in 1991. She has spent her career in the Consumer Products Division’s Operational Department and was appointed Chief Procurement Officer for the L’Oréal Group in 2004.
“Throughout her career, Lavernos has proven her worth as a great manager and inspirational team leader,” added the company. “Her keen commercial sense, great capacity to manage diversity and complexity, as well as her passion for international products and business, have today made her a natural choice to join L’Oréal’s Luxury Products Division.”
L’Oréal described the travel retail channel as one of the most dynamic retail circuits worldwide, and a key development network for its brands, both in terms of image and of growth.
