Barcelona El Prat Airport to reopen Terminal 2 from 15 June

SPAIN. Barcelona El Prat Airport will reopen its Terminal 2 from 15 June as travel to and from the location begins to increase.

From that date, Terminals T1, T2A and T2B will be operational. Terminal 2C will remain closed.

Access to boarding gates will be via the T2B security filter, while arrivals will be through T2B for domestic and Schengen flights, and T2A for Non-Schengen.

The reopening of T2 comes as a big boost to AENA partners at Barcelona Airport, including Dufry, Areas and others

The surface car park of T2B will be operational from 1 June, as will the express car park for T2. Two arrivals waiting areas have opened, one in front of the T2B arrivals area and another in T2A.

During the period of closure, AENA has continued to modernise T2 with an investment of around €106 million. Projects include a new bag handling system, 23 upgraded boarding gates and other investments.

Dufry is the anchor retailer across the 9,000sq m of shopping space in the terminal.
