French winemaker Barton & Guestier (B&G) is celebrating its 300th anniversary with the launch of a limited-edition rosé and a refreshed label for its Côtes du Rhône red wine.
The Côtes de Provence Rosé Tourmaline 2024 was designed in collaboration with Montreal-based French artist Isaure Atelier. Her signature visual style is marked by the use of shapes and colours, particularly in her illustrations of women, evoking a sense of beauty, elegance and lightness.

The fully screen-printed design mirrors the Tourmaline bottle’s refined contours, evoking a contemporary and vibrant twist on the French art of living.
The wine is crafted using a blend of six grape varieties – 37% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 22% Cinsault, 7% Rolle, 6% Carignan and 3% Mourvèdre.
The rosé features a pale-pink hue, with aromas of ripe red peaches, apricots and apples, complemented by vibrant red fruits such as pomegranate and raspberries, and a hint of floral notes.
It offers a balanced, fresh and vibrant palate, with lingering red fruit notes. As a Terra Vitis-certified product, it highlights the brand’s strong focus on sustainable winemaking practices.
For its Côtes du Rhône Les Galets, the updated label is inspired by a painting from Bordeaux-based artist WOO, who previously worked for the brand in 2022 to design the limited-edition Bordeaux Red – Cuvée Germain Rambaud.
The name ‘Les Galets’ pays homage to the small stones polished by the Rhône River, abundant in the soil of the vineyards. WOO has artistically captured the wine’s essence, blending tradition and modernity to create an impactful label.
This partnership highlights B&G’s commitment to crafting wines that appeal not just to the palate, but to the full sensory experience.
Crafted from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, the Côtes du Rhône holds High Environmental Value (HVE) certification and is presented in a lightweight Burgundy-style bottle, topped with a special 300th anniversary edition cap.
The new label features on Sommeliers International’s cover, alongside an article highlighting B&G’s three centuries of winemaking heritage. ✈
