BBC Spirits and Ever Rich Duty Free bring Hinotori Goldorak limited editions to Taiwan

The limited editions are spotlighted with a Goldorak robot-inspired installation

French drinks company BBC Spirits has partnered with Ever Rich Duty Free for the debut of Hinotori Goldorak anime limited-edition whiskies in Taiwanese travel retail.

Bordeaux-based BBC (an acronym for Bogdan’s Beverage Company, denoting Founder Bogdan Tanasoiu) claims to be Europe’s leading Japanese spirits distributor.

As reported, Irish travel retail drinks agent and distributor Duty Free Global is the company’s partner in global travel retail.

BBC Spirits commented: “Meticulously crafted for the connoisseur and dedicated fans alike, these exclusive releases offer a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, much like the anime itself.”

Goldorak, a fictional character created by mangaka Go Nagai, first appeared in the 1975 manga UFO Robot Grendizer. This month, Saudi Arabia-based Manga Productions has launched Goldorak U, a new project inspired by the 40-year-old series.

BBC Spirits will release a third Goldorak edition in the fourth quarter this year, showcasing the modern version of Goldorak robot (also known as Grendizer).

BBC Spirits Export Sales Director Romain Papillon commented: “We are delighted to be working with Ever Rich Duty Free to bring these quality Japanese whiskies to travel retail for the first time.

“We believe that these Goldorak limited editions will appeal to anime enthusiasts, collectors and curious whisky lovers alike.”

Ever Rich Duty Free Vice President Patricia Wang said: “Younger travellers prioritise overall experiences, seeking authentic and unique products that reflect their values.

“Therefore, Ever Rich is very pleased to collaborate with BBC Spirits and introduce the Goldorak anime limited editions in Taiwan, providing more diverse options for all travellers.”
