Beam Global launches Jim Beam ‘Signature’ in travel retail

INTERNATIONAL. Beam Global Spirits & Wine has launched Jim Beam Signature, a new premium expression of its leading bourbon whiskey brand, exclusively into travel retail this month.

Initially available in Gebr Heinemann outlets worldwide, Jim Beam Signature has been created by seventh-generation master distiller Fred Noe and is distilled from six grains and aged for six years in hand-selected white oak barrels. Bottled at 44.5%abv it offers a smooth and rich flavour with a silky finish and a pleasant nose of caramel, oak and subtle grain and spice notes, the company claimed.

With a recommended sale price of €29.99, the one litre flask-style bottle highlights the deep amber colour of the bourbon. The bottle is presented in a soft faux leather drawstring bag, printed with its name, Fred Noe’s signature and a neck tag giving an insight into the story behind the whiskey.

“Since its launch, each distiller has boldly marked those bottles that meet their high standards with personal signatures. We continue to celebrate this proud tradition, which features the signature of Fred Noe, Jim Beam’s great grandson and our current family distiller, on this latest and extraordinary Jim Beam bourbon.”

Tasting notes:

Due to its grain recipe, Jim Beam Signature has “a more complex character” than most bourbons, with a wide array of subtle grain and spice notes to engage the palette, the company said.
