Beauty Tech for Good: L’Oréal Group launches international competition for sustainable beauty start-ups

L’Oréal Group is showcasing beauty technology startups that are ‘sustainable, responsible, and inclusive’

FRANCE. L’Oréal Group has launched the ‘Beauty Tech for Good Challenge’, an international competition showcasing the world’s most promising sustainable, responsible, and inclusive beauty tech startups.

The project gives digital & tech startups, regardless of size, the chance to create a positive impact in the future of beauty. The judging criteria is based on three key pillars: protect the planet, build a sustainable & ethical digital ecosystem, and products and services for all.

Protect the planet includes contributing to sustainable global ecommerce, reducing digital carbon footprints, promoting sustainable consumer practices, traceability from conception to lifecycle, and modelling of green technologies.

Build a sustainable and ethical digital ecosystem involves creating responsible algorithms and AI for ethical advertising and consumer mental wellness, promoting responsible online practices, and data transparency for consumers.

Products and Services for all highlights beauty diversity, accessibility, usability, inclusion, and beauty positivity.
